Sylvester Balone

My baby brother, Sean, is turning 19 today. Judging from the posts to his Myspace blog it appears as though he will be having one heck of a shindig. I decide to post a few of my favorite pictures. Don't worry I won't post the fairy, I mean St. Michael, one. LMAO! :P I love you Sean. Happy Birthday!

You always were a clown.

We were great friends :)

Yep, I posted it. :P

Sean was the third boy in a row for my poor mother who desperately wanted another little girl. She was so convinced that he was a girl that they only brought pink outfits to the hospital. Lol

I remember his birthday vividly. My mom took us to the shoe store for winter boots after school. She complained that her back was aching and I replied "I think you're going to have the baby today". She reminded me that he wasn't due for another 3 weeks.

As she was making dinner she called me into the kitchen and asked me to write down the time. She was so calm. I remember her stirring the food and saying "Okay Kris write it down again" over and over. I began to get bored and started complaining. She told me to go outside and ask the neighbor across the street to come over. My father who came home from work at 5:30 every single day of my life, was 45 minutes late. Ironically, he was getting a pager so mom could contact him if he was driving when she went into labor. He drove up as we were leaving. Mom was at 4 cm when she arrived at the hospital. 7 minutes later she paged the nurse stating it was time. The nurse didn't believe her and was quite rude. Sean was born less than a minute later. I think mom's favorite part of the story was proving that witch of a nurse wrong.

My dad called to tell us that it was a boy. I was devastated. He said he looked a lot like Bologna. He began calling him Mr. Bologna Head. :S My parents didn't have a name for him so we each wrote down our favorites and they drew Sean Kevin out of the bowl. Thank goodness she didn't pull Timmy's name, Mr. Miage (Karate Kid was huge back then). For many years he was called Sylvester Balone (Rhymes with Stallone) Lol
