We had a fabulous Halloween. I thought it would be cute to get a family picture of everyone in costume so we started the evening at the portrait studio in Target. :) We'll get the pic in a couple of weeks. My mom took this one before TorTing. It's really hard to tell but Joey is a green Army guy and Tommy was not happy to still be taking pictures. He was ready to hit the houses.
We had to walk around Target for 15 minutes while they prepared the pics. A little boy in a spiderman costume said, "Bye Buzz!" to Johnny. He yelled back, "Bye Spidey!" It was too cute.
We now have a thousand pounds of candy. :0 As predicted, we froze our heinys off. Tuesday's high was 82 ° Thursday's was 68° but Halloween was only 43°. brrrr

Last Thursday morning the kids had a day off from school for parent-teacher conferences. Dh told me to sleep in while he made breakfast. I heard Tommy talking in his room. A few minutes later he came in and said "Mom a lady wants to talk to you." I asked him where the lady was and he said she was in his room. I told him to get daddy. :) A few minutes later he returned and said "She really wants to talk with you, mom".
I followed him to his room to discover Megan's cell phone (my mom gave her an old one that doesn't have any service) plugged into the wall. I picked it up indulging his imagination and said "Hello?" Imagine my surprise to hear, "Hi, this is Carol with 911" on the line. Apparently, all cell phones have 911 capabilities even if they don't have SIM cards. Ooops. She was very nice. I gave her all out information and she said, "Oh by the way, Tommy would like oatmeal for breakfast." Needles to say, the phone is now battery free. :)

November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month. My friend Kelly has a beautiful daughter, Jenelle, that suffers from seizures. She has a wonderful post that includes videos of Jenelle having various types of seizures at Jenelle's journey.

OMG, I'm laughing at the 911 operator. That is hysterical! Good to know!
