Starting the year off with a bang
The laundry pile I ignored for most of Christmas vacation grew increasingly large. I knew it was time to tackle it when I pulled out johnny's last pair of clean undies this morning. Crap. The big kids were playing quietly in the basement. The little ones were napping. I settled in to watch a Lifetime movie and summit the mountain of laundry when the phone rang.
It was my sister Maggie, whom we happen to be watching while my parents are in Fl this week. "Kristen, I tripped over Rosco (her dog) and fell down the stairs. I think I broke my foot. " Great.
After 4 hours at the ED, 2 with the little ones in tow. It was determined that she has a "very bad break" extending the entire width of her foot. High school swim season has come to an abrupt end. :(
It isn't easy to keep little ones quiet and pleasant at the hospital for an extended wait!
