Happy Memorial Day

We began the day by laying flowers on soldier's graves with our AHG troop. (BTW- thanks G and V for the dry cleaners suggestion! that's exactly what I needed)Megan was cute. She would read the tombstones and say "God Bless ____ and God Bless your parents who miss you" Julie spent most of the morning making this face. The grass was too squishy and she saw a bee. (She, obviously, didn't get enough sleep last night) *wry grin*

Johnny had a fabulous time. (Ignore the chocolate Pediasure drool drops, my mistake for giving him his sippy in the car)
Finally, we visited my grandfather, Pops', grave site and trimmed the flowers and gave him a few flags. He was a veteran who served during WWII.

Then we decided to meet dh, Joey, Tom and my family at the pool for the annual Memorial Day Party. I"m proud to say we took first place in the tee-shirt relay, chair race and beer dive. :)

Johnny, Tommy (in the corner) and me chillin' at the baby pool.

Me and my girls (Ignore my belly pouch) Lining up for the t-shirt relay
I love these kinds of days. I hope the kids remember them forever.
