This afternoon my friend (Hi Lalani!) called and asked if we had plans for tonight. Despite having uninvited surprise out of town visitors, I said "Heck no, what's the plan?" I left dh home to visit with his family, packed the kids up and headed to her back yard to enjoy an adult beverage (or three) with my pals. We watched a cartoon called Madagascar. It was pretty cute. The kids had a ball. Johnny sat on the blanket and didn't move a muscle through the entire movie. He was mesmerized. 
Can I tell you how much I love living in Colorado? It was such a beautiful night, nice and cool and there wasn't a single bug to be found.
I'm not even going to go into the fiasco with the relatives this afternoon. Ugh. Please pray that I make it through the weekend. *wry grin*
