One of those days

My cousin has two little girls. One was born the year between Jules and Megs the other is actually a few months younger than Julie but she is quite a bit bigger. Julie has always been rather petite. Anyhow, they gift us with bags of hand-me-downs several times a year. It's like Christmas for Jules every time we see them. Their fall/winter clothes should be arriving any day.

This morning I decided to do our semiannual sorting the girls' closet. I had to organize their school uniforms and "play" clothes into some sort of system before I go crazy! I also needed to sort out the summer stuff. I got rid of 4 huge trash bags worth of clothing. Some of it broke my heart. My babies are growing up. I did end up keeping a few of the really sentimental stuff though.

I probably could have sorted it all out and listed some on eBay or Craigslist but, honestly, I don't have the time to hassle with all of that. I know the Hanna Anderson and Heartstrings stuff probably would have sold, especially since it was hardly worn. Oh well. Everything is now at the Goodwill drop off truck. It feels so good to have it done, it's been on my mind for the past few weeks.

I was about halfway through the mountain of clothing when Joey came running upstairs screaming,

"MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Tommy just threw a rock and broke a basement window."

Fabulous.

My sister feels terrible since she was the one watching them. He is just too fast. Oh, Tom-Tom. :(

I'm taking a quick break before I remove the window frame and take it to the glass shop. The glass removal wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

Jules has a birthday party at 5 and I still need to get a gift, and take a shower. :) All of this is exasperbated by the fact that today is one of those I hate to be a woman days. Lovely.
