I survived the first week!

Phew, this week was crazy! I love my Med/Surg teacher and totally lucked out that she's also my clinical instructor. Woohoo, it's about damn time I caught a break in the program.

Doing clinicals at the city hospital is so much fun. It's super busy and crazy stuff is happening all the time. I'm totally loving every minute. Well, except for the computer system. The hospitals have all gone to paperless charting (yeah) but I accidentally locked myself out of the system. Ooops! There isn' t much you can do when you can't see the chart, labs, I & O etc...

I also somehow screwed up the computerized med system. I was 1/2 way through the tutorial when suddenly I had access to all the pts on my floor and all their meds. I exited, quickly.
Next week should go more smoothly, I hope. :)

The kids ended up with a 6 day weekend since schools closed for snow on Wednesday! Dh and grandma went to the girls' parent/ teacher conferences yesterday. I'm bummed that I had to miss it.

The kids are doing spectacular. Megan is on the Honor Roll and Julie made the Dean's list! :)
